TBRA annual meeting
As I previously mentioned on January 3rd in my "TBRA Improvements" post their annual winter meeting is this Saturday, February 10th. This meeting between club members of TBRA and the TBRA board is the time for everyone to discuss changes and improvements to the racing scene here in Tennessee. If you're a club rep you should be there to help affect positive change.
To learn more about the annual meeting go HERE for the details. It's being held in Brentwood at the offices of a company called Juris, which is located in the Maryland Farms area. Juris is in the vicinity of the Edgar Soto criterium race course. It starts at 1:00 PM, but if you cannot attend then teleconferencing and webconferencing are both available.
I highly recommend anyone wanting to get their two cents heard to visit the TBRA forum. There are already several topics being discussed with a lot of feedback already posted. Topics include how to improve mountain bike participation, cyclocross addition to TBRA, and a beginner level series.
The hottest topic is the category 4 masters 40+ discussion. This one has drawn out everyone; riders, officials, TBRA leaders, and promoters all are impacted by this potential change.
I have been keeping up with the forum over the last couple of weeks, but this past Monday I finally added the input of NashvilleCyclist. Go to the forum to see my thoughts, but more importantly put in your own ideas. Trust me, the forum gets read by the TBRA board (especially the President). Your views will be taken into account before any decision is made. However, you can also contact your club's rep to share your thoughts who then should take it into consideration when speaking for your club.
Get involved and help be a part of the process.
