2007 Southeast Triathlon Expo
This Saturday, February 3rd Nashville is hosting the 2007 Southeast Triathlon Expo. Swimmers, runners and cyclists throughout the region will be attending the event to be held at City Hall on 405 12th Avenue South. The expo begins at 11:00 AM and ends at 4:00 PM. Admission is FREE!
The featured guest speaker will be Olympian and National Champion Hunter Kemper. He will talk about his rise as a young Iron Kids National Champion all the way to the Olympics. USA Triathlon leaders and Team in Training will also have presentations about their respective organizations.
Along with speakers there will be over 30 vendors showcasing their products as well as an informative beginners clinic for those interested in triathlons. The beginners clinic is being conducted by GNAC, and if you're just getting into the sport I would highly recommend this. You'll learn the basics about goals, equipment and programs which should get you going in the right direction.
Some of the vendors include local bike shops and others who specialize in catering to athletes competing in triathlons. Of course, as if all those things weren't enough to get you to attend there's also some sweet giveaways that should get you excited! A Lynskey Performance TT bike frame, $1,000 worth of ORBEA cash and a Rolf Prima wheelset from Gran Fondo.
Take advantage of this unique opportunity and let's show USA Triathlon and Team in Training that area competitors are eager to support such an event. It's not often we get to participate in something like this, so make arrangements to attend and hopefully we'll see you there!
