TBRA Celebration Weekend

I hope you've already bought your tickets for the TBRA Celebration of Champions on Saturday night because it is SOLD OUT! Each year this event gets bigger and better, and with Bob Roll as our guest it only creates more excitement and buzz.

If you're one of the lucky ones to attend the banquet you'll no doubt be entertained by Bob's stories and jokes, but also don't forget to put your hands together to acknowledge the best bicycle racers in Tennessee. A lot of top bike racers will be getting State Champion jerseys, and their hard efforts deserve the biggest recognition.

Even if you aren't attending the banquet there's still a lot you can participate in during the early part of Saturday. Plus, you do NOT have to be a racer to attend any of these events. Heck, we want EVERYONE who enjoys riding a bike to come out and soak up the festivities.

Here is a list of the day's events, all times CST:

10:00am to 12:00pm - The annual TBRA banquet ride starting at the Subaru of Cool Springs. This ride is always a great way to end the season and catch up with friends you hadn't seen in a few months. Bob Roll will be riding with us as well, so have your legs ready to ride alongside a USA Cycling Hall of Fame member. The pace is typically casual with no hard efforts.

After the ride everyone will enjoy FREE sandwiches and cookies from Bread & Company!

12:30pm to 2:30pm - The TBRA Veloswap. Buy, sell, trade bike stuff at the Subaru of Cool Springs. Dig through the garage and closet to unload that gear that's never used. It's time to get some extra pocket money for the cash bar at the banquet, or maybe save it for that Christmas list I know you're already started. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Airport Marriott in Nashville - TBRA Celebration of Champions

5:00 pm beverage reception
- Need I say more? Well, there better be some wine!

6:30 pm Banquet dinner - It's time to chow down and get your stomachs ready for the laughter upon hearing Bob Roll. These meals are always pretty good, and the atmosphere is upbeat and lively. Plan to get there early to mingle and catch up with friends. Again, tickets are SOLD OUT!

If you are unfamiliar with the airport area of Nashville then go HERE to view a map of where the Marriott is located.

If you're coming from I-40 you'll go North on Briley Parkway for less than 1/4 of a mile before exiting onto Elm Hill Pike. You can see the Marriott from I-40 as you get onto Briley as it is the tallest hotel in that vicinity. In case you don't know, that area is totally jacked up with road construction. Be VERY careful as you exit Briley onto Elm Hill. Pay close attention to the construction barrels because it's not easy to distinguish where to go, at least not the last few times I've driven through there.

NashvilleCyclist will of course be in the crowd shaking hands and kissing babies. We have a table we're sponsoring at the banquet dinner, so please stop by and introduce yourself.
