Bid for Bobke
We aren't that far away from the annual TBRA celebration and banquet on Saturday, October 28. As you should know by now the infamous cycling commentator and former professional cyclist Bob Roll will be the guest speaker. There's a full day of events planned for the 28th which includes a group ride, a velo swap, lunch, drinks and dinner. All of which Bob will take part in and I'm sure will keep the laughter rolling throughout.
Tickets for the banquet are on sale for $30 through 10/7, but after that date the price goes up to $35. Consider it your late registration fee!
If you're really wanting to make the most of your weekend and get to know Bob Roll then you've got a shot at having dinner with Bob and 15 other people on Friday, October 27. J.Alexanders and Subura of Cool Springs are sponsoring an evening with Bob Roll at J. Alexanders in Cool Springs. This special evening will begin at 7:00 PM CST.
How do you become one of the lucky 15? Go online HERE to bid on one of the 15 tickets being auctioned off on Yahoo.
The bidding starts at $50, and so far there's only been a couple of bids posted. This money will go towards the expenses of the banquet, namely the investment made in Bob Roll to be the guest speaker. Note that it's 15 different bid auctions, each ticket auctioned off separately. Currently there are ONLY 6 days and 14 hours left to bid!
Be one of the lucky ones to chat it up with one of cycling's most captivating personalities. I'm certain you'll walk away with some stories to tell, and after a few drinks who knows what Bob will say! Personally, I think it's even better that this takes place at J. Alexanders as it is a restaurant of choice of NC.com.
