One Leg Man

I was tipped about the One Leg Man by the leadership at TriStar Cycling, and after reading about Scott Gadberry I'm appreciative of the info. The name One Leg Man implies exactly what you think, but what makes Scott even more unique is that he's on the US Paralympic Cycling Team. He's not just on the team because of his misfortune, but he can fly on the bike!

I don't want to ruin Scott's story by explaining it all here because you should visit his site yourself. There are more lessons to learn from Scott than it just being an inspiration, so read up and take from him what hits you the hardest.

Scott will be making a Nashville visit within the next few weeks, and the plan is for him to be here for a group training ride on a Saturday in early May. The details aren't concrete at this point, but when everything is final I will pass it along so everyone has a chance to meet the One Leg Man.

As for me, anytime I come across people like this it makes me even more determined to accomplish my goals. I have no excuse (you have no excuse) and I owe it to myself to never give up on my goals. Sure, I'm going to fail from time to time, but I will always pick myself up and be a "Man in the Arena." (famous Roosevelt speech, see red text)

If ever there was a Man in the Arena it is Scott Gadberry.
