Stampede bike expo
If you're looking for a reason to visit Charlotte, NC then here's a good reason. The Big Stampede Southeast Bike Expo & Swap will be held there on Sunday, November 13. I first came across this at the races this weekend in Greenville, and now I've seen it advertised online.
It's going to be held at the Lowe's Motor Speedway. I've heard either the owner of the speedway or one of the big decision makers there is a huge cycling fan, which is why they've held races on the speedway and doing this swap. True or not, it's a great thing for cycling.

I already know what you're thinking, and the answer is yes we have discussed doing a similar thing here in Nashville. We actually talked of doing something informal this fall, but scheduling for everyone involved has been an issue. The year isn't over yet so it could still happen.
