Landis ?!?!?!
What in the world happened to Landis?
I went to work this morning and everything looked to be a-ok as Rasmussen was climbing away to the polkadot jersey. This afternoon before my training ride I check out Velonews and see that Landis had cracked!

I did not see this coming, not this badly. You all know my feelings on Landis in that I believe he's not a three week GC man for victory. However, I would not have gone so far as to say he'd completely fall to pieces like this. I have yet to watch the end of the stage, but you can believe I'll be rushing home after the criterium races tonight to watch.
If you're CSC, T-Mobile or others in the top 6 of GC right now you've got to feel damn good about your chances of yellow in Paris. Carlos Sastre is in the catbird seat right now, but T-Mobile is loaded with greater depth. Wow!

Regardless of what the final outcome is, stage 17 confirmed that Landis is a true champion by any measure.
What a difference a day makes!
