Coffee shop blog - Louisville
Day two of racing is over and again my soy mocha becomes my recovery drink as I am not hungry yet well hydrated. I am blogging from Heine Brother's Coffee in Louisville, Kentucky.
There are five locations throughout Louisville, but along Bardstown Rd. there are three different ones within a short distance from one another. Pockets of this area are called Highland or Deer Creek, and probably something else that I'm leaving out. Think Hillsboro Village plus a few miles longer, but with a richer history and more options to enjoy. You'll find this area just southeast of downtown, which is not far from Cherokee Park (Sunday's race venue).
When I look around and see everyone with laptops enjoying free wireless I realize I should take advantage of the opportunity. I visited two of their shops and both had the same cool vibe. There are some independent shops that let you down and make you look for the closest Starbucks, but Heine Brother's Coffee is where you need to fill up while in Louisville.
