The Injured Cyclist

This comes from a random email all the way from London, England.

The Injured Cyclist

Tom does an excellent job of describing his experience in details that only an injured cyclist can remember. I knew from the first sentence on his June 1st post that he'd have an interesting story to tell. "You have moments in your life when things change forever."

I replied to Tom that if he only knew how well I could relate. Fortunately Tom wasn't hit by a car, but he did suffer an open fracture of his ankle.

Seeing yourself outside of yourself does change you. Trust me on that one.

My experience happened in the fall of 2002, which is long before blogging really became the rage. However, another guy had already come up with the brilliant idea of MyBrokenLeg.com. Without my broken leg there would be no NashvilleCyclist.com.

I agree Tom.....few moments in life do define us.
