2006 road race dates

Check out the main site to see the upcoming road race schedule throughout our region. Currently I have it nearly complete through June 2006, but I have a lot more work and research to do in order to complete the year. Compiling this information is a time consuming adventure, so please be patient.

Some race promoters are quicker than others about providing updated information. I usually do not post a race date unless I have it confirmed via a website and/or an email exchange with the promoter. Meaning, I never assume a race is going to happen from year to year on the same weekend.

February and March are lining up to become good months for training races. The Greenville Series has three big weekends, and the crew down in Chattanooga has put together their annual events as well. Nashville comes to the rescue a couple of times to satisfy the BToGS bunch, and hopefully they'll attract a broader range of riders throughout the South.

As you'll notice the schedule is an extensive list throughout every bordering state of Tennessee. Essentially if the race is within a 6 to 8 hour drive it's available. Strong racing cultures exist in Atlanta, St. Louis, Cincinnati, Charlotte and Birmingham. I think it's important to expand our view across a larger geographic area, and I encourage you to go to races outside the local scene.
