Ultrafit E-tips

Some of you may already know of this online resource, but if not check out Joel Friel's UltraFit E-tips. Friel is the guy who wrote the original training book The Cyclist's Training Bible.

E-tips is a monthly resource that provides articles written by the top coaches within Friel's team. Each newsletter contains short articles that provide a bit of insight and guidance. Just a taste of what you would receive if you invest in a coaching plan.

You can sign up to receive the monthly newsletter for free. Try and soak up every bit of knowledge out there and apply it to your plan. The articles cover a broad range of topics.

A couple of coaches to watch for are Dave Brown of Memphis, and Andy Applegate of Asheville. Both have extensive experience and are well respected coaches and racers.

If you're not a racer don't think a coach isn't for you. Cycling coaches provide plans for all levels of riders wanting to improve. Many who do centuries and multi-day charity events utilize coaches to help them prepare. Coaches have varying abilities and charge fees accordingly, so investigate thoroughly and ask lots of questions before making a decision.
