Living large

This is how you're supposed to kick it on a race weekend! We were fortunate enough to secure host housing for the Cumberland cycling team this weekend. When we arrived late Friday night after the TT we drove back into the pitch dark hills of Hayesville wondering where on Earth are we going. I was pulling a 12 foot trailer mind you through some roads that had me wondering if I'd get back out. When we finally arrived the team yelled out a collective, "Wow!"

Imagine our amazement and joy at getting to stay at such a beautiful home. Thank you to race promoter Linda May for setting this up, and to Mike and Mary Carol Campbell for opening their home to 6 complete strangers. It was greatly appreciated!


Here was our view looking straight out from the deck. No doubt we were spoiled with this arrangement. Oh, and don't get us started on the breakfast at the Country Cottage nearby. All I'll say is 99 cent breakfast.....all you can eat.
