CU & VU racing

This past weekend both Cumberland and Vanderbilt were off racing. CU was road racing in Atlanta at the Buckhead GP while VU was mountain biking in South Carolina. I have pictures from both with a race report from Vanderbilt to post.

Cumberland once again hammered away in the Pro 1/2 field with high placings in Atlanta. Bjoern Ossenbrink nailed down 4th in the circuit race on Saturday, and then 6th place in the $10,000 Buckhead criterium on Sunday. Both races saw Bjoern in breakaways that lapped the field. Peter Fairbanks was with Bjoern in the breakaway on Saturday and finished 6th.

The most impressive display all weekend was Thad Dulin of Jittery Joe's lapping the field TWICE in Sunday's criterium. The first time he lapped the field with a solo effort, but the second lapping was with the help of a "breakaway" containing Bjoern, Zach Bolian, Bruno Langlois and others.

One other interesting thing seen on Sunday....

A lollipop licking monkey. (pictures to prove it)
