TBRA weekend

There's a lot of TBRA related events going on this weekend. Here's the rundown if you haven't been paying attention:

Saturday - Gran Fondo TBRA Awards Ride
This will roll out at 12 PM (noon) and last for about 30 miles. The meeting place will be the Model Airplane fields at the intersection of Vaughn Rd and Old Hickory Blvd, which is the usual meeting place of BeThereorGetSlower. Do NOT be late. TBRA banquet guest speaker Tom Danielson and his wife Kristen will join the ride, so come out and ride with the Danielsons!

Saturday evening - Juniors meeting with Tom
Young Tennessee racers have an opportunity to meet Tom Danielson with their own meeting for a Q & A before the awards dinner. The Juniors only meeting will start at 5:30 PM in the Clydesdale room at the Marriott. This is a great chance to ask questions and learn from one of the top professionals from the US.

Saturday night - TBRA Awards Banquet
The banquet is being held at the Marriott Hotel in Cool Springs. Drinks will begin at 5 PM with dinner being served at 6:30 PM. As dinner is wrapped up Tom Danielson will speak and then awards given out for the winners of the season long TBRA points series. So men bust out those dusty suits, straighten your ties, and ladies shop for that new outfit you've needed an excuse to buy. Here's your chance to show off your fashion sense!

Sunday morning - Annual TBRA meeting
At 10 AM at the Juris office in the Maryland Farms/Brentwood area TBRA will hold it's annual organizational meeting. Each club is encouraged to send a representative to voice their opinions, and most importantly vote to elect officers for the 2006 season. It is everyone's one big opportunity to have their voices heard in front of all the decision makers.

There's plenty to choose from and enough to make the weekend go by quickly. Take the chance to catch up with all your racing friends, congratulate, commiserate, and talk about how you're going to drop them in 2006!
