Left side single speed

We found this at the circuit race in Atlanta on Saturday. Unique and an eye-catcher, but he said he was swapping it back over to the right side. Something about the threading was giving him trouble. I'm not a mechanic so I don't even know how to interpret the comment, but it's cool looking nonetheless.
