Daily Dose - 4 in a row!

I am on a roll. Four days in a row with blogs. Ahh, that feels good actually.

Before stepping into subjects more near to your heart let me touch on a few other things.

First, did you eat your black eyed peas on New Year's Day? If you grew up in the South or have lived here for long surely you have heard of this tradition. Rest assured I had two servings along with a ton of other fried delicious items. Some of you probably remember my Friday the 13th Superstitions blog from October. There is a difference between traditions and superstitions, but you'll have to find that out for yourself.

Second, did you stay up and watch the Fiesta Bowl between Boise State and Oklahoma? Wow! I was pulling for Boise State the whole time, but I was feeling disappointed as they lost a 28-10 lead in the final minute. Oh, but wait, they pull a few rabbits from their hat to make any non-fan jump out of their seats! Boise State tied the game back up with only 7 seconds which sent it to overtime. It was a fourth down tying TD was an incredible catch turned mis-direction lateral that caught OU by surprise. Both teams swapped scores in OT, Oklahoma then scores 7 more, but Boise State countered with another TD. Boise State had had enough and choose to go for 2 to end the game. A complete fake play, a Statue of Liberty design, and the running back waltzed into the end zone for victory!

It was 5 minutes to midnight and I was literally screaming with excitement. Some want to call it the greatest game ever. I wouldn't go that far, but it was the most exciting back and forth game that built excitement the entire game. Some games you wait for that one exciting play, but this was one had play after play outdoing the previous one. Boise State proved they are a deserving team, going undefeated, but after this win show they are worthy of a championship shot. This score was no fluke. If you saw how they handled Oklahoma you'd agree.

Floyd Landis Interview with Daily Peloton
Apparently Landis took to the DP forum during his post-surgery downtime. I'd love to invite him to the NashvilleCyclist.com message board to liven things up with Wade, Patrick, Nathan, et al. While his actions rank high on the "cool points" scale I don't think it's a good idea to take your argument to a message board. Unless it's your own message board on your own site. Cycling bloggers and message boards for cycling don't carry the same weight as political bloggers. However, it's my view that people give political bloggers way too much credit.

Ok, I am off to pilates. I'll add more to this blog later today.
