Post Christmas blues

Actually, I am not blue because Christmas is over. I had a wonderful family experience and shared time with those most important to me. I am a blessed man, I know it and recognize it. I hope your Christmas turned out the same.

However.....

With the way I feel on the bike right now I could go for one of these - Medically based bike fitting. Getting the right sized bike is the most important aspect of proper fit, but saddle height and stem length are also important comfort factors. There are a lot of other variables of course, but then it also comes down to personal choice and comfort. If you haven't been professionally fitted then I recommend going to one of the local shops and having a shop pro take care of you. It's not a free service, nor should it be, but it's well worth the investment.

Is it because of the drug scandals or because she now likes being a regular person? Evidently her life was well of balance as she went about destroying her competition. Even Lance didn't appear to do that to himself did he? Why would anyone become so robotic? She obviously didn't have a strong support system around her, but it sounds like she's happier with her life now.

Floyd's PR man - Arnie BakerForget for a moment he's one of Floyd Landis' best defenders. Arnie has a no frills website loaded with lots of information. It's likely that you have either read some of his work or seen one of his books on the shelves of a local bookstore. If you check out his "Recent Talks" section you'll see a PDF with his defense of Floyd. Arnie doesn't play a doctor on TV; he actually is one. It's a shame that Dr. Baker wasn't by Floyd's side from the second his test results hit the newsstands. I could be wrong about that, but Dr. Baker strikes me as a guy who speaks only with a plan in place.

So you want to sponsor a professional cycling team?
It will only cost about $425k to get the Abercrombie & Fitch team off the ground and running. Based upon other knowledge I have been privy to this amount seems about right. A&B can certainly make progress on a lesser scale with less money, but that amount will put them on solid footing. Our sport needs more teams like this and more sponsors willing to invest.

Tiger named AP male athlete of year
It's the time of year when all the "best of 2006" start coming out. You just know all the radio stations will play the top 100, VH1 and CMT playing top videos, and ESPN will have a highlight reel that will amaze us. It's not surprising that Tiger Woods would win this award, but what is surprising that Floyd Landis is #9 on the list. I don't know how the 10 points were accumulated, but he's in there with good company despite the scandal. I haven't watched him much, but LaDainian Tomlinson may end up becoming the best NFL player ever.

I'd love to sit here and expand further on other things I've kept secret in my IE favorites section, BUT I am going out to meet friends for a ride. That's right, it's Thursday afternoon and I am hitting the road. Hope to see you out there!
