Odds & Ends
I am playing a little catch up in many different areas of life right now. I have delayed adding some things to the website, but I should get a lot accomplished this weekend while I'm in Asheville.
Here's what I have in the pipeline:
1 - photos from the Tour de France from Ben Ross Photography. Ben has taken some great shots and shared a few with me.
2 - results from Race #4 this past Wednesday night.
3 - photos from my St. Louis racing experience at Tour de Soulard.
4 - picture of the week contest photos from the last few weeks. Maybe I should call it the Picture of the Week(s) Contest?
5 - will start working on a couple of interviews with some interesting characters.
Alright, moving on to more interesting stuff.
MOAB junior racer Nathan Brown of Covington, TN is ripping it up in Europe with the USA Cycling Junior Development Program. In his first two races in Belgium Nathan as scored two second places. We'll be hearing more about Nathan in the years to come. Talented for sure!
For all the non-cycling fans out there I suggest reading ESPN's Jim Caple and his most recent Page 2 article Do Yourself A Favor: Watch Landis.
After the TT here in Asheville on Friday evening I met Justin England of Toyota United Pro. I was surprised to see someone from that team cruising the area in his team kit and bike. Since he was parked next to me I decided to introduce myself by bringing up our mutual friend at OS Performance Nutrition. It turns out that Justin is from Asheville, and was a really nice guy to speak with (this wasn't surprising). He gave me some critical information to follow up on, which coffee shop to visit!
I enjoyed reading Bobby Julich's diary about Floyd's exploits on Thursday. Well said.
Floyd says he only had one beer.
Oscar Pereiro is not giving up just yet.
Lastly, this quote is something I truly believe in. Courtesy of Bicycle Retailer and their Quote of Day.
