Tennessee State Time-Trial
Next Sunday, July 2nd is the state time-trial held in Sparta, Tennessee. Registration can only be completed online at BikeReg.com and must be done by 10:45 PM CST on Tuesday night, June 27th. After that time registration will be closed with start times being posted on Thursday, June 29th. The first rider will go off at 7:01 AM CST.
Currently there are only 39 people signed up to compete, which is quite low by my estimates. TBRA would greatly appreciate a higher number of participants, so if you're on the fence then make the decision to sign up and compete.
In the future TBRA and others are working to make this a more interesting event and weekend. In the future it's hoped to have a full weekend of racing with the emphasis and priority put on the state time-trial. In all likelihood the time-trial would be on a Saturday with Sunday consisting of a road race or criterium. With a full weekend of racing people get a little more bang for their bucks, so in 2007 this will be a priority for TBRA and race promoters.
