Kat Carroll - more NRC success
Just one week after her best NRC finish in Reading, Pennsylvania, Nashvillian Katharine Carroll is continuing to race aggressively with another podium finish at the Nature Valley Grand Prix in Minnesota. In the stage 3 criterium Katharine survived the rainy conditions and sprinted to second place once again, but only after a long delay by the officials to determine if she or Laura Van Gilder crossed the line first.
Check out the link below to see the sprint photo. If what Katharine and Laura are crossing is the finish line then it sure looks like she may have won.
Katharine emailed me to say, "I got a good jump coming out of the second to last turn and when I made the final turn I knew I just had to bury myself all the way to the line. It was close and we had to wait 15 mins to see who won. Gotta work on that bike throw."

My prediction is you'll be reading a victorious diary from Katharine before the season is over!
