Map central up

Today I started working on a new adventure that I promised a few months ago. Check out the main site NashvilleCyclist.com and view the latest offering, Map Central!

So far I only have the Hammerfest and Thompson Station race loop profiles and cue sheets available. I am working on quite a few more, so keep your shirt on and I'll get them posted soon. If you have any route suggestions then please send them my way and I'll work on putting it together. One note, you will notice I could not track the roads through Percy Warner Park.

I'm still trying to figure out the easiest way to work with Delorme's Topography program. Let me just say I have cursed and screamed a few too many times trying to get this figured out! Just when I think I've got it figured out it will throw me a curveball and ruin a map I'm working on. There's no "undo" feature, so when you screw up it's pretty frustrating.

Before you even say it, the program did NOT come with a how-to book! Of course it has a help section, but it answers basic questions leaving me to my own devices.

As the summer progresses I'll use my BlueLogger GPS tracking device more often during training rides. If I can learn to utilize that tool effectively then I'll provide more routes sooner rather than later. More to come.....
