Building blog base
As I continue to dig into blogging it's pushing me outside the boundaries of our local community in order to keep this fresh and interesting. Even before this added dimension I would search the internet for what I felt were interesting ideas or news items to learn from, but now it's done with a purpose and sense of obligation. My search is about building a base of blogable information.
Lately I have found a few more sites that offer either personal or bicycle industry knowledge which can potentially add value to this site. I'm struggling to entirely get my mental arms around this in order to present it here in a consistent format. Therefore, I may appear to jump around without any structure over the next few weeks (not that I have thus far).
If you've followed the recent growth of blogs, most notably political types, you realize bloggers are brilliant at pulling relevant information from many different sources. Some of those sources are other bloggers while others are traditional media. Depending upon the subject matter the blogger will either provide commentary regarding the news item or do nothing more than provide a link and encourage you to click and read.
Expect me to do a little of both as well. If I fell compelled to elaborate and have time to do so I will. Otherwise, my responsibility is to simply make the reader aware and leave the rest up to them. I have my work cut out for me.

Not that it is relevant or interesting but you can check out the blog I maintain about Rotary Park in Clarksville, TN. It is www.friendsofrotarypark.blogspot.com. For those of you who mountain bike, we were in the beginning phases of totally re-working the trails there when a big tornado hit. The trails are currently closed but we hope to have them up and running in the Spring.
