Mazda made me

After taking some time away from blogging I saw a commercial tonight that made me laugh. I was caught completely off guard by its ending, and if you've seen it then I'm sure it got you too.

There are unseen guys talking as cars pull up and drive off in front a bicycle shop. As each car drives by they're saying something to the effect, "nope, not that one." You get the impression they're looking out the window of the bike shop, watching these cars go by, and judging which they like best.

However, the next shot is inside the bike shop and it's a guy shopping for different time-trial helmets! The buyer finally chooses the TT helmet he likes best.

The next scene is a car driving down a long flat highway coming upon a foursome who are in TT formation. As the car drives by the cyclists look over at the vehicle as it passes.

The video shot moves ahead of the car but on the passenger side, and shows a shaggy dog with its head out the back window sporting a TT helmet! It's hilarious and totally out of the blue.

It turns out to be a Mazda car commercial. No cyclist will forget seeing this one. Very clever I must say.
