Turkey burn day 2

Thursday's "Burn the Turkey" training ride was a big success with 23 people showing up and enjoying a flat out beautiful day. Traffic was very light, the sun was beaming, and the pace was s-l-o-w.

I was even told this ride was published in The Tennessean in their recreation section on Wednesday. Several people read about it actually, but I'm not sure how it got there since I personally didn't send them a blurb. Regardless, we are appreciative of the coverage and want to thank whoever made that happen.

So here I am at 7:45 AM on Friday waiting for the 9 AM start at Percy Warner Park entrance today. The sun is slighly beaming, but it's 23 degrees with a feels like of 15!

I'm wondering how many people will brave the elements and have a go. As I'm typing I'm willing to bet there are a handful of people mulling over whether or not to suit up and come out. No doubt it's EASY to bag the ride and wait for warmer temps tomorrow, but who is going to suck it up and show up? We'll see.....
