UCI finally weighs in.....
It's about time someone other than Lance and Johan made a statement about the complete lack of integrity regarding WADA and L'Equipe. How the story has gone this long without a greater outcry from other professional organizations doesn't make sense. It's as if people are too lazy to do the right thing.
So many ethical boundaries were crossed and purposely violated it would seem even those not on the Lance bandwagon would stand up and say, "your testing methods and means of dissemination are ridiculously invalid, grossly negligent, and do not deserve an ounce of credibility." You'd think all other professional riders would join that chorus since they too could become subjected to such outlandish claims without proper judicious review.
What is WADA for anyway if they can't get testing methods and privacy matters resolved? So far WADA has proven they can't be trusted regarding procedural and documentation issues for the very thing they were created to oversee. Tyler Hamilton is another example of poor handling by WADA. It's a joke really. If WADA doesn't fix itself they will become a non-factor and worsen the sport of cycling through their inadequacies.
Having said all that, both Lance and Tyler very well may be guilty. We'll never really know since WADA is clueless. Regardless, there's a right way and a wrong way to go about proving innocence and/or guilt.
