First day on the job
Here's the view of Memorial Hall, the main entrance to Cumberland University in Lebanon. I began the cycling coach position there today. It was the usual lowdown of paperwork, meeting people in different departments, with the most important part of meeting the team.
It's an exciting opportunity and I'm thrilled at the chance to help build a program from the ground up. We have some talent that can compete at the highest level in college, and the expectations are pretty high despite the program being in the infancy stage. The administration from the President to the AD on down are all 100% behind the program, which makes my job a bit easier to do.
I'd post more about my experience today, but I have more work to do later this evening. This week may be light on postings so bear with me.
Oh, thanks to all those who are hitting the pictures from HOW 100 and the Music City Triathlon!
