May 21st Crit - Pre-register!
We're only one week away from the NashvilleCyclist.com Coliseum Criterium on Sunday, May 21st. Don't forget you can pre-register HERE on BikeReg.com.
Everything is lined up and we're ready to have another smoking crit at The Coliseum. Most everyone in the Nashville area has had a taste of this crit course, but for those of you outside Middle Tennessee you'll be surprised at how challenging this course will be.
It's deceptively difficult with the first half taking you on a false flat uphill before gradually making your way back down to the start/finish area. There are 8 turns with several that are technical while others are wide sweeps allowing for faster speeds. When you're done racing you'll feel it in your legs!
Then of course we have a total purse of $3,700 on the line! The Masters and Pro 1/2/3 field has a large payout with better than average payouts in the other categories. The payouts run deep in each field too. Another competitive aspect is the race durations which are slightly longer than what you usually encounter. We believe these longer distances make it worth your time and money to come out and rip it up. We've also staggered the start times to allow racers to ride multiple events, but do so after having a short break to recover from the previous race.
Lastly, don't forget this compliments the Gran Fondo Sumner County Classic on Saturday, May 20 in White House, TN. This race has $2,500 on the line and offers you the chance to have a full weekend of racing. Come out and support bicycle racing in Middle Tennessee!
