Scenic Bill's photos

Bill Parsons with Scenic City Velo has completed uploading pictures from the State Championship weekend from this past fall. The lacking component was the Pro 1/2/3 which is now complete, but he's also added a couple of pictorial videos with music.

Go to Scenic City Velo's photo gallery HERE.

The Pro 1/2/3 video is 4:17 long and accompanied by Bon Jovi with Last Man Standing. Appropriate for that race of attrition. The Masters 30/40 is 3:06 long and accompanied by U2 and the song Vertigo. Another appropriate song since I bet there were times when the racers felt vertigo going up Fernvale.

Bill is by far the best racing photographer in Tennessee, and we're lucky to have him taking the time to do this for our enjoyment. I do a fraction of what Bill does regarding photos, and let me assure you it's a LOT of work to make them available online.

So go check out the site and thank Bill the next time you see him.

How should one gage if he/she is ready to try and race? Average speed over a laid out course?

How would a 28 year old guy who just wants to see what he can do give it a try without looking like a jerk?

What would an average over a 30 mile course be in a Cat 5 race?

Any suggestions would be helpful.

Around 21 will get you a mid-pack finish on the local courses.
