Have you ever wondered who actually is NashvilleCyclist.com? Well tonight you finally get your chance!
Yours truly will be on the local FOX News station tonight during their 9:00 to 10:00 PM newscast as part of a sports human interest story. The local FOX News station is found on channel 6 here in the Nashville area if you have Comcast. The piece should air during one of the two sports segments they have during the one hour news segment. I believe the piece will be approximately 70 to 80 seconds long.
The interview took place for a few hours this afternoon and was conducted by Dave Foster. I talked a lot about the cycling scene here in Nashville and abroad, racing, doping, the Tour, Cumberland and threw in a bit of personal info as well. For many of you it will be all new information while others may get a refresher course. Either way, set the VCR or DVD recorder because you will not want to miss this news coup!
I didn't find out this would even happen until 10:30 PM last night, and wasn't aware it would air so quickly. Otherwise I would have offered up a greater heads up, but I guess that means you should be checking NashvilleCyclist.com more regularly. We talked about having Dave come out to the crit on Wednesday night, but he was under a time constraint to have something by tonight. Hopefully he'll be able to do future stories about the cycling community, which is something we talked about doing soon. Especially about specific riders in the area who have a unique story to tell.
The more we can get positive notoriety for cycling the better, so tune to FOX tonight and let me know what you think!
